Overview

An accumulation tank stores the domestic hot water produced by a heat source, in high-insulated capacities from 50 to 5,000 liters. Omega accumulation tanks are made with enamel inner coating and cathodic protection (anode rod), because the water inside goes straight to taps and showers. This is what sets an accumulation tank apart from a buffer tank, which holds heating-circuit water.

The job of an accumulation tank is to store the hot water a heat source produces and deliver it at sufficient flow when needed. A boiler, solar system or heat pump heats the water; the accumulation tank stores it and meets demand where many users draw hot water at once, such as hotels, hospitals, dormitories and housing complexes.

Accumulation Tank Prices

Accumulation tank prices vary by capacity. As of July 2026, retail reference prices start around 12,000 TL for the 50-liter model and reach about 60,000 TL for the 1,000-liter model. Larger capacities and industrial projects are priced per project; we offer below-retail pricing on wholesale and project orders.

Prices are approximate and may change; request a quote for current and wholesale/project pricing.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is an accumulation tank?

An accumulation tank is a high-insulated water tank that stores domestic hot water from a heat source, with enamel inner coating and cathodic protection. Omega accumulation tanks are made from 50 to 5,000 liters.

What does an accumulation tank do?

It stores the hot water produced by a boiler, solar system or heat pump and delivers sufficient flow at peak demand. In facilities with simultaneous high hot-water demand such as hotels, hospitals and dormitories, it prevents hot-water shortages.

What is the difference between an accumulation tank and a buffer tank?

An accumulation tank stores domestic hot water, so it has enamel coating and cathodic protection. A buffer tank holds closed-loop heating water and needs no inner coating because it does not contact potable water. See our blog for a detailed comparison.

How is the right accumulation tank capacity determined?

It depends on the simultaneous hot-water demand and facility type. Use our water heater sizing tool or contact us to determine your exact need.
