Overview
A single-coil water heater is a hot water tank that transfers energy from a single heat source, such as a combi, boiler or solar collector, to the domestic water through one heat exchanger (coil). Omega single-coil models are made from 100 to 5,000 liters, protected against corrosion with enamel inner coating and cathodic protection (anode rod); 100-1,000 liter models use 50 mm 40-density polyurethane insulation and 1,500-5,000 liter models use high-density special sponge insulation. Thanks to a wide coil surface and high insulation, it works efficiently in energy class B.
A single-coil water heater is used to produce domestic hot water in homes, businesses and facilities. The coil transfers the energy of hot water from a combi or boiler, or of the heat-transfer fluid from a solar collector, to the domestic water in the tank; the two circuits do not mix. It is preferred in projects where a single heat source is sufficient.
